We’re delighted to welcome Pim Wangtechawat as our special guest, in discussion about her beautiful and thought-provoking novel I Dreamed of You. 

Pim will be sharing an excerpt of her novel with attendees, who can then take part in a Q&A and take the book home with them to read in their own time. 

During our chat, you can expect insight into her writing process, themes from the book, and a chance to hear directly from the author in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Join writer Pim Wangtechawat, a writer from Thailand. Her first novel, The Moon Represents My Heart, was published in 2023, and she now presents I Dreamed of You, her magical sophomore novel. 

Pim will be interviewed by Alice (A.Y. Chao), the Sunday Times bestselling author of Shanghai Immortal, whose sequel, Paris Celestial, is to be published this March. 

The event will initially be broadcast on 6 March at 6.30pm UK time. It will be available to view up to two weeks after the event has ended and can be accessed Worldwide.

We are so excited to welcome Pim Wangetchawat to the bookshop for an evening celebrating her latest novel, I Dreamed of You! This sparkling book bursts with the magic of friendship and first love, as two unforgettable characters find out what it means to dream. It also featured an Edinburgh connection (specifically, Portobello!) but you’ll have to come to the event to hear more…

This event will take place in the bookshop with an in-person audience, as well as a livestream for attendees watching from home. There will be a signing after the event.

Brunch Book Club: I Dreamed of You

Brunch Book Club is bringing readers together for a special event celebrating I Dreamed of You by Pim Wangtechawat — with Pim joining us both online and in person.

The day is thoughtfully structured but relaxed in feel. We’ll kick things off with an online discussion, followed by a live author Q&A where Pim will unpack the novel’s themes of fate, desire, identity and first love. Later that afternoon, we’ll meet at Timmy Green, Victoria for brunch, where conversation continues over great food, drinks and excellent company.
